Vasily Gerasimov

Biography

Vasily Gerasimov was born in 1975 in Minsk.

He graduated from the Belarusian State University, Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

From 1997 to 2003 worked in the Supreme Economic Court of the Republic of Belarus (chief specialist, head of the legislation department, head of the department for providing supervision and generalization of judicial practice).

In 2003-2012 worked as the head of the Main Expert and Legal Department of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus. In 2012-2016 was the Chairman of the State Control Committee of Grodno Region.

In 2016 was appointed the Aide to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Inspector for Brest Region.

On September 18, 2018 was appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

On June 11, 2019 was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

On September 3, 2020 was appointed Acting Chairman of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

On January 26, 2021 was appointed Chairman of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

He has been awarded with the Medal "For Labor Merits" and the Order of Honor.
