A delegation of the Financial Monitoring Department of the State Control Committee of Belarus headed by director Alexander Maksimenko took part in the 19th plenary session of EGMONT Group held in Yerevan (Armenia) on 11-15 July this year.

Following a request by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation have carried out and prepared an audit opinion on the report of the Union State Council of Ministers on the execution of the Union State budget in 2009.

The parties shared information on the final stages of the audit, on detected issues, the degree of completion and deadlines for providing information to prepare the final document.

A representative of the State Control Committee delivered a report on the use of key national indicators in social and economic management and optimization of control activities.

On 29 April 2011 a live satellite link-up was held between officials of the Financial Monitoring Department of the Belarusian State Control Committee and the Federal Financial Monitoring Service of Russia (Rosfinmonitoring).
