The results of the inspection of compliance by the authorised bodies of the EAEU countries with the procedure for the crediting, distribution and transfer of import customs duties have been summed up

28 November 2023 in Moscow held a joint meeting of the boards (councils, authorized persons) of the supreme audit institutions (SAI) of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus Vasily Gerasimov took part in the event.
The meeting summed up the results of the joint verification of compliance in 2022 by the authorised bodies of the EAEU member states with the Protocol on the procedure for crediting and distribution of the amounts of import customs duties (other duties, taxes and levies having equivalent effect).
Control measures were carried out in 2023 in each of the EAEU member states. The audited bodies were the Ministries of Finance and Treasuries of the EAEU member states.
The inspection showed that in 2022 the amount of import customs duties received by the budgets of the EAEU member states totalled USD 10.3 billion.
The authorised bodies of the EEU member states have generally ensured compliance with the procedure for the distribution of import customs duties between the EEU countries. According to the results of the joint control measure in the Republic of Belarus, no violations were revealed.
At the end of the meeting, Vasily Gerasimov, Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus, had a bilateral meeting with Galina Izotova, Acting Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation. They discussed topical issues of interdepartmental cooperation, including the holding of events (panel session) of the control bodies of the two countries with the participation of territorial bodies of the State Control Committee of Belarus and control and accounting bodies of Russia within the framework of the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia (June 2024).
