Supreme Audit Institutions of Belarus and China sign Memorandum of Understanding
The State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the National Audit Office of the People’s Republic of China have signed a Memorandum of Understanding during President Alexander Lukashenko's visit to the People's Republic of China.
The Memorandum was signed on behalf of the State Control Committee by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik and by Auditor General Hou Kai on behalf of the the National Audit Office of China
The agreement with the Chinese side to update the provisions of the 2002 Cooperation Agreement between the two supreme audit institutions of Belarus and China and to sign a new bilateral document has been reached following constructive dialogue and fruitful work between the audit institutions of the two countries with the assistance of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry and the Belarusian Embassy in China.
Belarus and China will cooperate through consultations, seminars and conferences on key issues of public sector external audit (control) as well as exchange of information and practical experience on topical issues of mutual interest.
The signing of the Memorandum has become an important and timely step on the way of developing cooperation between the controlling agencies of Belarus and China and a contribution to strengthening Belarusian-Chinese relations, which are actively developing on the principles of mutual respect and trust.
Overall, a large-scale package of documents on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China in various areas has been signed in the presence of the heads of state.
