The Russian-Belarusian round table "The role of supreme audit institutions (SAIs) in improving the efficiency of the implementation of state functions of control and supervision" was held today in St. Petersburg. The round table was attended by Deputy Chairman of the SCC of Belarus Andrei Lobovich, auditors of the Accounts Chamber of Russia Svetlana Orlova, Valery Bogomolov, Dmitry Zaitsev, Alexei Savatyugin, employees of the State Control Committee and representatives of territorial bodies of the SCC of Belarus (online) and control and accountancy bodies of Russia.
The round table discussed:
key directions and priorities of control and oversight activities in modern conditions;
the contribution of public audit institutions in ensuring the efficiency and improvement of the state's control and supervision functions;
the role of digital tools in the development of control and oversight activities;
the activities of supreme and regional audit bodies in promoting the principles of accountability, transparency and openness.
Representatives of the State Control Committee informed their Russian colleagues about the key areas and priorities of control and supervision activities in the Republic of Belarus. Mr Denis Bartosh, Head of the Department for Coordination of Control (Supervisory) Activities in the Republic of Belarus of the State Control Committee, made his report.
