During a working meeting with Galina Izotova, Deputy Chairman of the
Accounts Chamber of Russia, plans for joint activities were discussed. The
agencies are actively co-operating. Already next week the SAIs of the two
countries will hold a board meeting in Minsk, where the results of control over
the use of funds of the Union State will be considered. At the end of June, the
Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia will hold a special panel session
focusing on the development of interregional cooperation.
Vasily Gerasimov has discussed areas of co-operation with the head of the
Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of Saudi Arabia. During today's meeting with
the President of the General Court of Accounts, Hussam Bin Abdulmohsen
Al-Angari, an agreement was reached to sign a bilateral agreement. According to
the leaders, it will open a new page of relations between the agencies and will
serve to establish sustainable contacts and dialogue, as well as exchange best
practices of state control. Vasily Gerasimov invited the head of the Saudi
Arabia VOA to pay a working visit to Belarus.
The visit of the Auditor General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is
also expected to take place this year. Before that, the agencies will work on
updating the existing cooperation agreement. The Chairman of the State Control
Committee has also been invited to visit Vietnam and get introduced to the
activities of the State Audit Institution of Vietnam.
