Thus, in
Pruzhansky district, the works on street lighting of pedestrian crossings near
the villages of Linovo and Slonimtsy are included in the Action Plan for
improving conditions and increasing road safety in Brest region. The
illumination of pedestrian crossings should appear by 1 May 2024. The issue of
receiving an old-age pension for work with special labour conditions of a
district resident was also resolved.
Within two
weeks after the appeal to the regional SCC, the works on backfilling and
profiling of the dirt part of the road on Dovatora Street in the village of
Mochul in Stolin district were completed.
The SCC of
Brest region used the hotline to study in detail the organisation of transport
communication in the region and its utmost compliance with the needs of the
public. In particular, the problem of residents of the suburb of Brest (the
village of Zakiy), who had to walk three kilometres through the forest to get
to the nearest bus stop, was solved. After an appeal to the hotline, the
schedule of the city bus No. 23 was changed.
In
addition, the shortcomings and violations identified by citizens' appeals are
being eliminated in some agricultural organisations of Brest region. In a
number of cases the guilty persons were brought to responsibility.
For
example, mismanagement and unsanitary conditions in one of the farms of
Gantsevichy district became the grounds for dismissal of the head of the farm
and bringing the farm workers to disciplinary responsibility. The employees of
the village council were also brought to disciplinary responsibility for the
lack of order in the entrusted territory.
The SCC of
Brest region continues to monitor compliance with legal requirements in dealing
with citizens' appeals, as well as in the implementation of administrative
procedures.
