Minsk hosts the 14th meeting of the Working Group on Development of State Financial Control (Audit) Standards for SAIs of the CIS Member States

The 14th meeting of the Working Group on Development of State Financial Control (Audit) Standards for SAIs of the CIS Member States is held in Minsk on April 24, 2019. The event is attended by representatives of the supreme audit institutions (SAIs) of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Russia.


The meeting was open with the welcome speech of the Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus Aleksandr Kurlypo. He noted that during the time of its work the Working Group developed and approved 7 documents, including a glossary of terms used in SAIs standards, as well as a number of standards that regulate the procedure for conducting joint and parallel monitoring and analytical activities of SAIs of the CIS Member States.


The participants of the meeting discusses the draft Standard on Information Interaction of the CIS SAIs and the Methodological Recommendations for conducting quality control of joint and parallel control and expert-analytical activities, as well as issues relating to the future activities of the Working Group. These draft documents will be reviewed at the XIX Session of the Council of Heads of the SAIs of the CIS Member States in 2020.


Approval of the Standard and the Methodological Recommendations will allow establishing the unified approaches of CIS SAIs to the information interaction, as well as the formation and maintenance of an appropriate system of quality control for joint and parallel control and expert-analytical activities (audits).
