Chairman of the State Control Committee Vasily Gerasimov took part in the Assembly of ECOSAI in Nur-Sultan

The delegation of the State Control Committee headed by the Chairman Vasily Gerasimov participated as observers in the events of the 9th Assembly of the Economic Cooperation Organization Supreme Audit Institutions (ECOSAI) held on 25 and 26 August in Nur Sultan (Kazakhstan).
The organizer of the event is the Accounting Committee for monitoring the implementation of the republican budget of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by heads and representatives of the countries of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Palestine, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan.
The 26th meeting of the Board of Directors of ECOSAI was held on the first day. It was reported on the activities of the Secretary-General of ECOSAI, summed up the work of the international organization last year, discussed the Strategic Plan.
As part of the event, The Belarusian delegation visited the International Financial Center «Astana».
The second day of the event was devoted to the 9th Assembly, at which the Organization's Budget for 2022-2024 and the Curriculum for 2022-2025 were approved, and ECOSAI's strategic goals were determined.
Issues of improving state financial control, increasing efficiency and ensuring transparency in the management of state resources were considered. The issues of advanced training in the field of IT audit, audit of the effectiveness of state assets and expenditures were also discussed.
Mehrdad Bazrpash, President of the Supreme Audit Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was elected as the new President of ECOSAI. Members of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee of ECOSAI were also elected.
During the visit, bilateral meetings were held between the Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus Vasily Gerasimov and the heads of the SAIs of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Turkey. The parties exchanged views on expanding cooperation, discussed topical issues in the field of state audit.
The State Control Committee of Belarus and the Supreme Audit Court of Iran signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation. An agreement was reached to conclude a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with the SAIs of Pakistan and Turkey.
