The alley of ash trees was laid down in the Victory Park of Minsk in honour of the 100th anniversary of the state control in Belarus

Employees of the central office of the State Control Committee and veterans of the control body planted 25 young ash trees. The opening of this alley and the laying of a memorial sign will take place in August 2019, on the days of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of state control (the solemn date is celebrated on August 2).

Leonid Anfimov, Chairman of the State Control Committee, who took part in laying the alley, noted that over the 100-year history, state control bodies have repeatedly changed their names, but the main thing for state inspectors has always been upholding the interests of the country, the rational spending of state funds and the use of state property, and combating bureaucracy and wastefulness, maintaining order and discipline.

The formation of state control structures began immediately after the formation of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic. The first control body, the Commissariat of State Control, was established in 1919. In 1920 was formed the People's Commissariat of Workers' and Peasants' Inspection of the BSSR.

The State Control Committee which was formed in 1996, is the supreme audit institution of sovereign Belarus.
