Round table on fighting corruption and financial crimes was held in Minsk
The round table devoted to international cooperation in the fight against corruption and financial crimes was held  in Minsk on December 4-5, 2017 . It was organised by the Financial Investigation Department of the State Control Committee and  Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
The OSCE was represented in the seminar by experts from the European Union, Russia and Moldova. From Belarusian side the event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee - Director of the Financial Investigations Department Igor Marshalov and leadership of the financial investigation bodies.
The participants discussed strategic aspects of the joint fight against corruption and financial crimes.
Foreign experts presented international initiatives and measures to combat corruption and financial crimes in the EU countries (in particular, in Poland and Lithuania), the best practice of the competent bodies in this direction.
Representatives of the financial police of Belarus, as well as representatives of the state bodies participating in the roundtable, presented the experience of our country in the field of combating corruption and financial crimes.
The participants also considered the use of effective analytical IT tools aimed at early detection of potential criminal activities in this area, as well as the practical aspects of creation of joint teams to investigate and analyze risks in the fight against corruption and financial crimes.

It should be noted that the main goal of the roundtable was to share experience and knowledge in the field of combating corruption and financial crimes, as well as to develop topical areas of interagency and international cooperation in this field.
