Delegation of the State Control Committee of Belarus visits the State Audit Office of Latvia

On October 24-26, 2018 the delegation of the Committee of State Control of the Republic of Belarus headed by the Chairman Leonid Anfimov pays a working visit to the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia.

During the visit, it is planned to discuss issues of strengthening cooperation between SAIs of two countries, improving the efficiency of control  and executive discipline, improving audit mechanisms, introducing IT technologies in control (audit) activities, etc. Special attention will be paid to cross-border cooperation and parallel audits.

The cooperation between the State Control Committee of Belarus and the State Audit Office of Latvia is carried out on bilateral basis and also in the framework of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI).

The SAIs cooperation is realized in the framework of Memorandum of Understanding between the Committee of State Control of the Republic of Belarus and the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia which was signed in Riga on May 26, 2009. 

Delegations of the State Audit Office of Latvia visited Belarus three times (in May 2010, in August 2011 and in June 2017). In 2017 during the last visit of Latvian colleagues headed by Mrs. Elita Krūmiņa, Auditor General of Latvia the auditors discussed the issues of experience and information exchange, interaction with law enforcement agencies.
