One of the key tasks of the State Control Committee is protection from criminal and other infringements in economic matters. Financial investigation bodies are tasked with ensuring the economic security of the Republic of Belarus, prevention, detection and suppression of economic crimes, pretrial investigation into criminal cases, administrative proceedings in line within competence of financial investigation bodies and so on.
