The State Control Committee continues to monitor the situation in the consumer market. First of all the issues of compliance with the legislation on pricing, availability of necessary and sufficient assortment of goods and compliance with sanitary rules in trade are examined. Since the beginning of 2022 the State Control Committee inspected 611 objects of trade. Violations of trade rules were found in every second inspected object, including violations of the order of pricing were identified in 90 trade facilities. According to the results of control, 238 recommendations to eliminate violations were given to the subjects. Measures were taken on all the facts, including the facts of overpricing - prices are brought in line with the legislation. A total of 114 officials and 9 trade organizations were held liable. On a number of flagrant facts the State Control Committee took measures to suspend the activities of trade facilities. During the inspection, the State Control Committee in cooperation with the State Standardization Committee established the facts of sale of goods in the trade network that do not meet the quality and safety requirements. Thus, as a result of the inspection, sales of dried fish products, phyto tea, ice cream with milk fat substitute, etc., were banned in commercial facilities of Brest region. The State Control Committee also examines the situation on the availability of goods in retail facilities. In general, the situation remains stable. It is noted that the stock of goods in the trade network and producers is sufficient to meet customer demand. For certain types of products in retail facilities remains high demand (grocery group of goods, personal care products, synthetic detergents). The State Control Committee draws the attention of traders to the requirement to work within the law. Violations, including price discipline will be firmly suppressed.
