Representatives of the Financial Investigations Department and the State Revenue Service of Latvia discussed measures to combat economic crime


 Representatives of the State Revenue Service of Latvia and the Financial Investigations Department of the State Control Committee of Belarus share the experience of analytical and practical work.
The Latvian delegation, headed by the head of the Tax and Customs Police Department of the State Revenue Service, Kaspars Podiņš, visited Minsk on March 11-12, 2020.
At a meeting with Igor Marshalov, Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee and Director of the Financial Investigations Department, that was held on March 11, 2020 special attention was paid to the interaction of departments to combat tax law violations, including the unjustified return of value added tax. The priority areas of cooperation between two bodies were discussed. It was also about the prospects of signing an international agreement of an interdepartmental nature.
During the visit, employees of the Tax and Customs Police Department of the State Revenue Service of Latvia acquainted Belarusian colleagues with their methods for detecting financial crimes.
