Today marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the financial investigation agencies of Belarus. On that day, on 5 August 1992, the Main State Tax Inspectorate of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus established the Department of Tax Investigations, The Financial Investigation Unit of the State Monitoring Committee. Over its 30-year history, the financial police have accumulated extensive professional experience and developed effective methods of combating economic and corruption crimes, the budget secured significant funds. The main direction is on preventing offences in the economic sphere and eliminating the causes and conditions conducive to their commission.
