The delegation of the Financial Investigations Department of the State Control Committee headed by the Deputy Director of the Department Mr. Andrei Prokopuk, took part in the international forum "Financial and Customs Security of Ukraine: International Cooperation in the Harmonized European Space", which was held in Irpen (Ukraine).
The employees of the financial police shared the experience in organizing the activities of the bodies of financial (tax) investigations and countering crime in the economic sphere.
As a result of the forum, practical recommendations have been developed to improve the regulatory, institutional and personnel support for the financial and customs security of the State, the forms and methods of organizing and conducting financial investigations and financial intelligence, the implementation of international standards and the fulfillment of international obligations in the field of combating money laundering, financing of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Consultative Mission of the European Union, as well as state bodies of Great Britain and Georgia.
