On 1-2 July 2015 the delegation of the State Control Committee of Belarus headed by Deputy Chairman – Director of the Financial Investigations Department Igor Marshalov visited the capital of Georgia (Tbilisi) to discuss the practical aspects of collaboration between the Financial Investigations Department of Belarus and the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
The agreement on this visit was reached in 2014 during the XVI meeting of the Coordination Council of heads of tax (financial) investigation bodies of the CIS member states, where the Georgian delegation participated as an observer.
During the visit the heads of the Financial Investigations Department of Belarus and the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation related to joint counteraction to tax and financial offenses, primarily in the field of foreign trade, as well as the operational information exchange.
